Bio:
First and foremost, I am a wife and momma. But I am also blessed to be an
author. I
absolutely LOVE what I do! I
was a featured author at a Q&A workshop during a local Arts Festival, and am
involved in the mentor program at the local college. Music is a
HUGE part of my life. I can't imagine a
day without it. I love to sing and plunk
on the ivory. Which reminds me, I
desperately need to restring my guitar... I thoroughly enjoy fishing, camping,
riding horses, road trips, video games, hunting, drag racing (yeah, I can hold my own with
the big boys), random dancing, puzzles, snuggling on the couch watching a
movie, and of course, reading! I never want to stop learning new
things. What's next, knife throwing perhaps? After high school I worked full
time and put myself through college. Two
years and some change later, I earned an Associates in Computer Science. I was later accepted to WSU, where my next
degree sits waiting patiently. I
currently live in Washington state with my hubby of fourteen years, three amazing
boys, two chocolate labs, a min pin, geckos, and fish.
Yep, never a dull moment at my house!
Someone hand me a cold one...
Favorite Music:
Depends on my mood. I'm a head to toe country girl, but from classical to R&B, pop to folk, I pretty much love it all. Ray LaMontagne, Blake Shelton, Pentatonix, Josh Groban, Jennifer Lopez, AC/DC, Nat King Cole... You get the picture. ;o) My current "mood music" for when I'm writing consists of a LOT of Howard Shore, Hanz Zimmer, Jeremy Seoul, Loreena McKennitt, and Ramin Jwadi.
Favorite Movies/TV:
Bring on movie nights! I love The Hobbit/LOTR, Pride and Prejudice (the one with Keira Knightley), Gladiator, the Alien Saga, & Hope Floats.
I will shamelessly binge-watch CSI-Crime Scene Investigation, Game of Thrones, Supernatural, Heartland, The Witcher, & Lucifer.
I'm also a hardcore #12! GO HAWKS!
Favorite Books:
I have a decent library started, and I really enjoy collecting really old books. I am as eclectic with books as I am with music & movies. I am a huge fan of JRR Tolkien, Stephenie Meyer, Patricia Cornwell, J.K. Rowling, Laurell K. Hamilton, Suzanne Collins, Patricia Briggs, George RR Martin, and just recently added to the list - Andrzej Sapkowski. I own almost every one of Stephen King's books - and for those of you familiar with his work, that is a LOT!!! I can get completely wrapped up in a gripping mystery, and turn into a gooey mush ball with a tragic love story.
What I'm reading now:
The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, but Michael Scott
Heroes:
My Momma - She's stronger than she'll ever know!
My Grampa - I still miss him sooo much!
